Appointments are for 15 minutes. If you require longer time with Mr Davies then additional 15 minute slots can be booked but  your insurance will not cover this and you will be billed directly.

Evan Davies is recognised by all major medical insurance providers.

AXA PPP patients. Unfortunately we have had some problems with AXA PPP clients over the last few months but it does appear that these problems have been resolved.

BUPA Patients. Mr Davies is recognised by the BUPA Maxima scheme which means that any benefits due will be paid.

Surgical Fees

If an intervention is required we always send you a detailed coding form and fee structure for you to discuss with your insurers before any intervention so that you be sure that costs will be covered by your insurer.

Fixed price arrangements

Patients can always elect to pay for their treatment privately and all the local private hospitals can provide quotes for treatment and help arrange low cost loans as necessary.

NHS Care

My NHS practice is located within Southampton University Hospitals Trust. Adults are part of the single spinal unit in the Wessex neurosciences building and children within the Childrens Unit of Southampton General Hospital

Transferring from private care to NHS

Patients seen privately can elect for NHS care at any point. However if you are seen privately the process of transferring to the NHS requires Mr Davies to write to your GP to ensure they are happy with this request. Your GP then has to write to Mr Davies in the NHS and then care can be commenced. Please note that having seen Mr Davies privately there are no guarantees that you will see him in the NHS as the NHS will always try and place you with the spinal surgeon with the lowest waiting list so that yor wait is kept to a minimum. If you come from outside of the normal catchment area your local PCT may require you to be seen by your local hospital services before you are sent to Southampton.
