At the trust I have a monthly adult clinic, twice a month paediatric clinic. I perform 6 all day operating lists per month with a mixture of scoliosis, tumour, trauma and degenerative disease.

This is my main private hospital where care for all spinal pathology can be safely carried out. Spire benefits from having all the equipment for modern spinal surgery as well as the benefits of an intensive care unit. Working in close partnership with other university hospital consultants allows a safe environment for complex spinal surgery care.

I have a weekly operating list at Spire with a minimum of 2 outpatient sessions sometime three. There is a session Monday mornings, most Tuesday afternoons and some Thursday afternoons.

I also closely supervise the Spire Back Pain Clinic which is a Physiotherapy led clinic allowing assessment of back pain without having to see a spinal consultant. Should the team suggest further investigations these are discussed with myself so they can be arranged prior to seeing a spinal consultant if required.

I see Outpatients once a week in Dorset from 7am to 11am on Tuesday mornings. Once a month I have an operating list at the hospital where I perform routine spinal cases such as discectomy, decompressions and X-stop. These patients are covered by myself and also by close support from one of my local colleagues Mr O'Connor who works locally in Bournemouth. More complex cases are performed in Southampton but my aim is to provide local care to those patients where care at the Bournemouth Nuffield is appropriate.

Romsey Physiotherapy Clinic

Once a month I have an outpatient clinic at Romsey in close supervision with Sue Mills the head of Romsey Physiotherapy. This allows close assessment and treatment of patients with a combined approach. Investigations can be arranged as necessary.

The majority of my NHS procedures are performed at Southampton General Hospital.

Privately I operate in Southampton at BUPA Southampton and in Dorset at the Bournemouth Nuffield Hospital.
