I am a dedicated Consultant Spinal Surgeon.

I was born in Taunton in 1966. My education commenced at Midsomer Norton Primary School, continued at Somervale Comprehensive School and I graduated from Southampton Medical School in 1990. Whilst at University I played rugby for the University and was awarded my half colours. I received the Vice-Chancellors Award for Outstanding contribution to University Sport.

My basic surgical training was provided in Southampton and Exeter. My specialist Orthopaedic Training occured in the Wessex Region. My Fellowship Spinal Training occured at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, University Hospital in Zurich and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Today I practice as a spinal specialist who cares for patients with all forms of spinal problems. I care for patients with spinal trauma (injuries), degeneration (wear and tear), deformity (scoliosis), infection and spinal tumours. I care for all areas of the spine from the neck to the bottom of the spine. This care utilises modern non-operative and operative care.
